Immaculate is a 2024 American psychological horror film directed by Michael Mohan and written by Andrew Lobel. The film stars Sydney Sweeney, Álvaro Morte, Benedetta Porcaroli, Dora Romano, Giorgio Colangeli, and Simona Tabasco. In the film, Sydney Sweeney plays Cecilia, a devoted woman who is welcomed to a monastery in rural Italy, where her attempts to live out her faith are met with resistance. What to love about this movie is its different approach among the famous religious horror films, with its attempts to be a kind of surrealist portrait of Catholic terror.
